In the summer of 1999 a big old long haired Siamese started coming around for food. My first impression was that he looked more like a badger than a cat. Whether he was moving or standing still, he was always low to the ground.
I finally figured out that he had a bad case of fleas. Within a minute of when I hit him with the flea powder, you could almost hear the sigh of relief. Then he stood up to full height. He was a very big cat, and walking proud.
Just from the looks of him you can see that he had a really tough life up until then. The red fur on the end of his tail and his one damaged ear was the result of frostbite. He only lived a few more years but they were really good ones.
